Regarding the recent controversy over orange flag, we express our disapproval of what was stated by the Mayor of Offida Lucio D'Angelo and by the Tourism Valerio Lucciarini. In particular, when they state that "if we had charged the Touring Club (behind large sum of money required) to provide for our improvement plan we would have achieved the quality mark."
This statement, made by those representing the citizens, is very serious and dangerous as it may pass the wrong message and a way of doing politics in which we do not recognize that we condemn absolutely and firmly. The Mayor and Alderman
then declare that there was "discretionary judgments as to the placement of government policy", so why the Touring Club has been awarded the Flag The town of Orange Ripatransone where there is an administration of the center?
Offida If the City did not pass the pre-selection for the third time, there will be more than one reason: we remember that the municipalities that want to get this award, shall meet the standards required by the Model of Analysis (MAT) of Touring Italian Club. After this analysis, the visiting area, which is conducted by the Touring Club anonymously and traces the experience of the tourist, from finding information to visit the destination, through the verification analysis of more than 135 criteria, grouped into five macro- concerning the most important aspects of the supply system a Place: Reception, Accommodation and services, factors of tourist attractions, environmental quality and quality evaluation.
Then the process of analysis, which aims to identify and acknowledge the excellence, is highly selective and not easy to get this recognition, especially in the Marches that only sixteen municipalities have obtained the orange flag. In the province of Ascoli Piceno, there are two, Acquaviva and Ripatransone who have obviously worked better than Offida: the objectives are achieved with much effort and a lot of substance, no need to request the intervention of a saint in heaven!
Our Town meanwhile, with his arrogance, one thing has obtained: a beautiful formal notice by the Touring Club with all the legal and economic consequences will be.
